I may not have seen everything there is to see with respect to New York City real estate, but my 20 years of experience as a broker including four years as a manager of 250 brokers, has prepared me to successfully confront any possible challenge that may arise in a real estate transaction. I would recommend Steen to anyone. He was amazing. and put so much work into helping us with every part of the process. He was so patient – we were very difficult customers. He never pushed us or got fed up with us. We wanted to look at everything and had very little money to spend! We wanted to buy and combine apartments as this was a cheaper way to get the space we needed with three children and a live in nanny. He researched every single combination on the market in painstaking detail and showed us every possibility. In the end we did a very complex purchase of two separate units with Board permission to combine them and it was very successful.

Steen was the broker on an apartment I bought a number of years ago, and I have since been in regular contact with him. I came to own an condo in Chelsea that was transfered to me because of a debt, and Steen helped me to sell it. He was terrific. Steen did an appraisal and told me I could get $795,000 for the home. I believed that estimate was too high, especially in a poor market, but just five weeks later, Steen sold the condo for that exact amount. Steen made life easy for me. Steen is currently working to find a larger apartment for me and my family. We have been in touch for over a dozen years, and he knows what I am looking for. I own commercial real estate in Manhattan, and I have a strong sense of who knows their product. Steen is very knowledgeable and diligent, but more importantly, he is there for you. He is calm and walks you through the information. Making a profit is not his first priority. Steen consistently gives you the same, high quality service, whether he is working with a home worth half a million or a home worth three million. I am confident that I will work with Steen again in the future.

Steen helped my wife and I to buy our first home in Manhattan, when we moved from Connecticut in 1996. We have since used Steen to sell the same home and in both cases, we had a very positive experience working with him. We met Steen at an open house, and had not heard of him prior. However, we liked his approach and his method. Within three months, Steen showed us 30 different places. He was very patient. We were new to the New York market so he gave us a lot of valuable information on value and the neighborhood. Steen listened to us and understood what we were looking for. We were one of the first to see the apartment we ended up buying because Steen had a strong sense of the type of home we wanted. We made an offer almost immediately.
