Generalists »

I focus on helping my clients buy and sell Downtown Manhattan real estate, especially lofts, in the price range from below $1 million to over $10 million.

New condos specialists »

Downtown, especially West Chelsea, has seen a huge influx of new developments over the past five plus years. I have represented many clients in the purchase of apartments in new developments and I know the benefits (and potential land mines) of purchasing in a new or newly converted building.

Loft specialists »

I specialize in the Downtown Manhattan market where lofts are most numerous. I live in a loft in Chelsea and I have helped numerous clients buy and sell lofts in Downtown Manhattan.

Pied-a-terre specialists »

Pied-a-terres require special attention because, in New York, not every building allows a buyer to purchase an apartment as a second home. I have the experience of working with clients in the pied-a-terre market and can help steer buyers in the right direction when looking for a second home in the City.

“I was a first-time buyer working with Michael. He understood what I was looking for and took care of everything.”

When I met Michael, I had been renting in Queens for a few years and was looking to make a first time purchase in Manhattan. He was the first agent I had ever worked with, and he set the bar extremely high. Michael very quickly developed a concrete grasp of what I was looking for, and he was able to find thirty apartments that he thought would interest me. I saw the whole range of the market, and this allowed me to make a truly educated decision regarding which apartment was right for me. Within three weeks, we made a bid, and we ended up closing on the deal. Michael was a genuine professional. He had all the necessary paperwork ready for me far in advance, and by the time I spoke to the Board of the co-op I was purchasing in, they didn’t even ask me any questions. Michael had already taken care of everything. I would most definitely recommend Michael to friends and family.

Before I hired Michael, I had interviewed three other agents, and I actually stumbled upon his information by mistake. I ended up meeting Michael in person and knew he was the right agent for me. Michael was extremely patient in trying to help me find my first home. We initially looked in Brooklyn, and we found a property that I was very interested in. We were waiting for construction to be completed when the whole deal fell through. We decided to shift the search to Manhattan, and Michael didn't waste any time following up with a new set of listings. He was very attentive to my interests, and we eventually found a co-op in Chelsea that was perfect for me. Michael was absolutely impeccable with every aspect of the purchase, and he'll be the only agent I consider if I decide to enter the market again. I would absolutely recommend him to others.
“Michael's professionalism, responsiveness, and communication skills were extremely helpful in my home purchase.”

Michael was the broker for the sellers of a property that I was very interested when I was looking to upsize my home. Although I wasn't his client, he was extremely professional throughout the process of selling me the home, and I found him to be responsive and communicative. His professionalism really stood out to me, and I'm very happy with our dealings together. I would definitely recommend Michael to friends or family.

As a first-time buyer, particularly in Manhattan, I was completely new to real estate when I worked with Michael. The whole experience was absolutely great. I needed an apartment in Midtown East for work, and Michael not only listened to what I wanted, but he also exposed me to options that I wasn’t aware existed, such as a conversion condominium. A conversion turned out to be the perfect property for me, since it had many of the amenities that come with new condos but was much more affordable for me. During closing, Michael took care of everything. He worked hard to keep things moving forward, and I could always depend on him to take care of any potential problems along the way. He was also very helpful in keeping me calm and explaining the nuances of the Manhattan market when I started to see things like closing costs and mansion taxes. All said and done, Michael helped me to find a very suitable home and I’m extremely satisfied with his work. I would gladly recommend Michael to others, and in fact, I already have to several friends. Michael’s truly patient and very trustworthy. He understands that buying can be a long and arduous process, and he does everything within his power to make his clients’ lives as easy as possible.
“I was very hesitant about the buying process because I was a first-time buyer. Michael allayed all my fears.”

Michael is wonderful to work with. I was a first time buyer when I contacted him, and I was very hesitant about the whole process of purchasing a home. I’d been renting in Manhattan for years, but I wasn’t looking forward to the hassles involved with buying. Michael allayed all my fears. The property we found was in a co-op, and Michael organized my entire Board package and prepared me extensively for the interview. He really made the whole process simple. I never had to worry about anything, because Michael had already taken care of it for me. I was astounded with how easily and smoothly everything progressed. I highly recommend Michael, and if I’m ever looking to buy or sell in the future, I’ll definitely go back to him.
“Michael's charm and hard work was instrumental in selling my apartment right before the market started to falter.”

Michael was absolutely the right agent for me. I interviewed a number of agents before putting my condo on the market, and I chose Michael because he was the only one who seemed reasonable and personable. I'm not interested in the hard-sell strategy that most agents use, so it was a big relief that Michael was so respectful with everyone involved in selling my property. He really understood how to talk to and listen to people, and he was extremely personable to me and every potential buyer that came through. Michael was also very accommodating and easy to deal with. I made a suggestion for how I wanted to market and sell my condo, and Michael discussed the idea with me and incorporated it into his strategy. He ended up getting the highest price that I could ever imagine for my property, and he was able to close the deal right before the market started to slide, so I feel very fortunate. I think a large part of the timing was due to Michael's hard work and how quickly he was able to go into contract with my buyer. I've already recommended Michael several times to friends. He was truly a pleasure from day one, and I would gladly recommend him again.
“Michael was a great resource to have during my first purchase in the city. He made the whole process go extremely smoothly.”

I highly recommend Michael to anyone, especially first-time buyers. I think he's extremely easy to deal with, and he communicates well. He makes the process seem to go very smoothly, and I found that to be particularly helpful. Because I was a first-time buyer when I worked with Michael, I was glad to have him as a resource throughout the purchase. He helped me to identify a real estate attorney as well as a source for financing. He assisted me in preparing the Board package, and he walked me through the whole co-op admission process so that there was nothing unexpected. I really enjoyed working with Michael, and because of his hard work, my first purchase in the city was a great experience.
“Michael is thorough, patient, honest, and kind. That's all I could ask for in an agent.”

Working with Michael was amazing from start to finish. The first time I hired him, I wanted to upsize to a townhouse in Chelsea, but because I had never bought that type of property before, I really depended on Michael to keep me informed. Michael educated me on the ins and outs of townhouses, the important details to look for, made sure the property inspections were completed correctly, and he was diligent about getting me the paperwork and documentation I needed after closing. The whole time, Michael kept a friendly professionalism that I greatly appreciated. Another aspect about Michael that I found to be remarkable is his honesty - especially in this industry, I think honesty is extremely valuable. I've already recommended Michael to others, and I would gladly do so again. He's thorough, patient, and kind, and that's all I could ask for in an agent.
