I LOVE working with first-time buyers! Home ownership changed my life, but when I bought my first apartment, it was a torturous process. One of the reasons I got into real estate was because I felt it did not need to be so painful. As a performer at the time, I was not given the respect I deserved as a customer, as a professional or as a person. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping a first-time buyer become a home owner. With compassion and patience I offer an education and plenty of hand-holding not to mention steadfast advocacy for all my customers.

When my wife and I were leaving the city, we signed a six-month contract with a real estate firm. By the end of the six months, a number of deals had fallen through, and we were very frustrated with the firm. Around the same time, a neighbor recommended Kelly to us, so we decided to work with her instead of continue with the firm. We told her that we were in a rush to sell, but we still wanted to get a good price on the property, and within a month, she had a bid that we accepted and we began closing the deal. It was evident that Kelly knew how to market a property and bring in potential buyers, and her professionalism and enthusiasm really helped to close the deal quickly and painlessly. Kelly is fantastic to work with. She's very smart and charming, and I knew from the beginning of our dealings together that she was absolutely on top of her game. She has facts at her fingertips, which is extremely valuable, and she really specializes in the upper Manhattan market where I was selling. She worked with the Board of my building to set up an acceptable agreement for holding open houses, and she made sure that everything moved forward without a hitch. I'd really recommend Kelly to anybody. She made selling my apartment a great experience, and I don't think another broker could've done that well.

Kelly has an incredible and unique understanding of the Washington Heights area. Not only does she live in the neighborhood, but she's one of the only agents I've worked with who has been willing to recognize that the area is going through a market change, and that's why I'd recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell in the neighborhood. Recently, a different type of clientèle has been looking to buy in Washington Heights. The first agent I worked with only marketed my apartment for the type of buyer who would've purchased it ten years ago. When I decided to re-list with Kelly, she actually raised the asking price I had set in order to appeal to the newer upscale buyers, and we accepted a bid within three weeks. She really understands the changes that the neighborhood is undergoing, and that makes her an asset in this market.

Kelly knows the Inwood and Washington Heights area extremely well, and I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell around there. She knows exactly what listing price to set for any property in those neighborhoods so that the property will be appealing to buyers but also offer her sellers the best deal possible. She's an expert at staging a property for an open house, and gives great advise regarding what kind of decor and furniture will help to show the potential of the space to buyers who come for a viewing. From the first time I met Kelly, I was comfortable with her. She was very professional, but she has an extremely relaxed demeanor. We saw eleven apartments in the first day together, and she handled the workload very well by staying positive and enthusiastic about everything. What I most appreciated about Kelly was that she acted as a buffer between other agents and myself when they began to push their property a bit too much for my liking. She was very personable with them, but really helped to calm down the situation and allow me to develop my own opinion of each property without any pressure or influence. I think Kelly's the perfect realtor. She's an extraordinarily pleasant person to deal with, and I've already recommended her to a number of friends. She listened very attentively to what we were looking for and, more importantly, what we didn't want in a property, and she was able to expose us to a number of possibilities we weren't even aware of. The apartment we ended up purchasing through Kelly, for example, was in an area we hadn't previously considered, but Kelly knew that it fit all our criteria and was confident we'd love the property.
