My solid track record in real estate can be attributed to the excellent relationships I develop with my customers and my deep passion for providing my discerning clientele with the perfect home or the highest price sale. Though I work throughout the city, with all price points, my focus is on high-end properties above $2 million on the Upper East Side. I am committed to helping first time or seasoned buyers, investors, and high-profile clients find properties that meet their lifestyle, needs, and desires. I am known for, and take great joy in, offering my clients reliable, discreet service, and a calm yet persistent approach.
New York is a dynamic, sophisticated city that many people dream of moving to. However, finding a place to live in Manhattan’s unique marketplace can be quite daunting. This is why I guide suburban, out-of-state, and international buyers every step of the way through the Manhattan real estate process in order to secure a successful home purchase or sale. As a proud native New Yorker, I am familiar not only with the city’s appeal and opportunities, but also with how to educate buyers about the diverse neighborhoods and complex world of Manhattan co-ops, condos, townhouses, and new developments. Purchasing or selling real estate in Manhattan is a huge undertaking, investment, and commitment, and I work relentlessly on my clients’ behalf to ensure a smooth transition to this exciting city.
For those clients who love Manhattan and visit frequently, but cannot live here full time, a Pied-a-Terre is the perfect solution. With every client, I listen attentively to their specific needs in order to expedite the search to find their home away from home. I work tenaciously and enthusiastically to provide my clients with a swift transaction that secures the perfect getaway apartment for the best possible price.
Agent's personal statement
My greatest joy and success in real estate stems from my having a deep passion for my work and for providing my diverse clientele with the guidance, resources, and support they need to find the perfect property that meets their needs, and often exceeds their expectations.

My background as a therapist allows me to offer my clients similar professional qualities such as intent listening, insight, and discretion. It is second nature for me to be attentive and confidential when dealing with clients that rely on superior service and maintaining the privacy they deserve. As a result, I can quickly identify a customer’s needs and provide a course of action that greatly benefits and protects buyers and sellers.
My initial interest in real estate began while I managed an estate comprised of multiple upscale Manhattan residencies. After only a short time in the field, I was quickly appointed to the position of Vice President. I am currently a resident broker specialist for a Park Avenue co-op. I have a loyal following of discerning and high profile clientele who appreciate my honesty, accessibility, and my tenacity in helping a seller get the most exposure and highest price, or working closely with buyers to successfully secure the perfect property.

Our summary of
"Since she's a native New Yorker, Joan knows the city like the back of her hand. She's able to communicate the nuances of different neighborhoods to her clients. Having been in the business for six years, Joan is recognized as a rising star. In 2008, she was a member of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Gold Circle. She's an intent listener and extremely patient (we believe she developed these skills in her previous profession as a therapist)."
