James handled the sale of our Upper West Side co-op in an exceptional manner. His thoughtful, courteous and professional real estate marketing expertise made all the difference in our getting the price we wanted. He was always, and we mean always, available by phone and e-mail whenever we needed to contact him. In an increasingly difficult real estate market, he worked tirelessly to find the right buyer and never wavered from the sales plan he proposed to us at our first meeting, even though doing so might have resulted in an earlier sale at a lower price. James held frequent open houses and arranged many more individual appointments. In addition to advertising in print, brochures and the internet, he had us hire a professional stager to show the apartment off to maximum effect. When I was looking to buy an apartment, I decided to forego hiring an agent. I met James because he was the listing agent of the property I was interested in, and even though I hadn't hired him myself, he was still exceptionally helpful during the purchase. In my business, I deal with all kinds of intermediaries and brokers, and I know a good one from a bad one. James is exceptional. He's professional, responsive, and he's a very hard worker. He was always available to give me advice or answer a question, and his knowledge of the market was incredibly thorough. He was familiar with everything going on in real estate, and he was able to educate me and make me comfortable that I was paying a fair price for the property. I would recommend James to anyone looking to buy or sell property. He goes out of his way to help all parties involved in a transaction, but it's clear that he keeps his clients' interests in mind throughout the process.

My husband and I have worked with James on several different occasions since 2001, and we have always had an extremely positive experience working with him. James was our seller’s broker for a house we were looking to buy. Our broker was not particularly confident, so we ended up consulting primarily with James. He really put the whole deal together, and we were so impressed by his work that we have continued to use him to buy and sell our homes ever since. There are a lot of brokers who are just turn-key brokers. Until James, I had the experience that most brokers are more interested in commission than they are in addressing your specific needs. James is very honest. He is not going to push something, just so he can get a better commission out of it. He will recommend a deal, even if it means that he makes less money in the end. He is very client-oriented. Especially during the negotiating process, it is important to have someone who will really be there for you. James is a good negotiator. Moreover, James is extremely knowledgeable about the market as a whole as well as specific properties, particularly on the Upper West Side. On the selling end, James knew everything about the apartment. On the buying side, he was very quick and thorough in giving me all the information I needed and he helped me to find a home that fits the needs of my family. We are in regular contact with James and I have recommended him to others.

James' work in selling my co-op apartment was outstanding, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to sell a property. He was on top of every possible detail in the process, from marketing the apartment to helping stage it for potential buyers to advising me on how to price it. He helped our buyer prepare their Board package in a very effective manner and I really feel that he was the driving force throughout the sale. James puts in all of his effort for his clients, and I think that's extremely important for an agent.
