I have been selling residential real estate in Manhattan since 1994 and have closed in excess of $600 million in sales. I work with both buyers and sellers focusing mostly downtown below 42nd Street but have represented a number of clients and customers on both the Upper West Side and Upper East Side as well.

Loft specialists »

As a resident first of Greenwich Village and then Chelsea for 20 years, I first started selling real estate in my neighborhood--initially lofts. As my client base grew, I expanded to selling more traditional apartments and townhouses as dictated my customers' needs. I have an extensive knowledge of the inventory of property below 42nd Street and have experience with many of the boards of these buildings. I often have clients return to me when they sell to help them find their next home.

Buyers moving to NYC »

I have extensive knowledge of the market and neighborhood amenities, which customers find valuable as they begin relocating to Manhattan. I have relied on the extensive national and international network that Sotheby's International Realty has built and have a reputation for matching clients' needs and expectations with the right home in a convenient neighborhood to suit their new lifestyle here in New York.

Sellers leaving NYC »

I have successfully referred customers who purchased in the Hamptons, Westchester, Connecticut, Florida, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Hawaii, Italy, France, and London. My firm's motto is 'local experts worldwide' and I find that the relationships that I have developed with agents around the globe has broadened the scope of services I can offer my customers as they come and go from New York.

Agent's personal statement

For sellers, I have a proven track record for attaining the best price possible. I factor in all financial implications of a sale so that my clients can evaluate the best course of action.

For buyers, I am unrelenting in my availability to show and pursue properties that match a customer's requirements. As a resident of Manhattan for 20 years, I match client needs to a property's characteristics, using both my professional expertise and personal understanding of an area's amenities.

I can refer clients relocating away from New York to an agent that will handle their real estate needs globally: I have successfully referred clients to Hawaii, Asia, Europe, California and the Hamptons. By relying upon the strength of the global Sotheby's International Realty brand, I am in the unique position to provide service locally and beyond New York's borders.

In 2007, I was selected by the Real Estate Board of New York to work upon improving the client and customer experience with regard to the sale and rental of New York City property. Only 30 agents were chosen to attend and receive the NYRS designation, showing their commitment to ethics, market knowledge, and negotiating skills.

A graduate of Cornell University, I earned Bachelor's degrees in both Applied Statistics (with honors) and Psychology. I am a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

“Extremely knowledgeable about the market.”

Glenn helped us buy a home in Manhattan. In addition, we have several high-end properties and from time to time, we consider putting them on the market. Whenever we do, we speak to Glenn. We find that Glenn is extremely knowledgeable about the market, particularly about past and future trends. What's most important about Glenn's market knowledge is that he understands the impetus behind the trends in the market, so he is able to provide us with insights into why the market is acting in a certain way. His market knowledge is a valuable resource. In addition, Glenn is extremely patient which allows my wife and I to thoroughly explore the marketplace for the home that is both a good value and an emotional fit for what we're looking for. I have, and will continue to, recommend Glenn to friends and family.

I’ve known Glenn professionally for twenty years, so even before I hired him, I knew that he had the experience and expertise necessary to sell my apartment the way I wanted. When Glenn first toured the apartment, he confirmed that he was the right realtor for me. I put quite a bit of money into architectural details in the apartment, and he was able to pick up on even the smallest ones without me making any mention of them. Glenn’s strict attention to detail made me feel comfortable that he saw the apartment in the way that I saw it, and proved to me that he was the realtor I wanted to sell the property. I have already recommended Glenn to others looking to sell property, and I would continue to do so without hesitation.
“I've used Glenn to purchase my personal home and an investment property.”

I have used Glenn to purchase a home as my residence and a home as an investment property. Glenn is a true professional who listens to his customers and does his homework. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in Lower Manhattan. Unlike other brokers who hop from deal to deal, Glenn carefully cultivates long-term relationships with his customers. Once you start working with Glenn, you'll never want to work with anyone else.
“We consider Glenn to be our family broker. He's helped me, my brother and our parents.”

Glenn is a really good listener and he certainly is not pushy. He responds to what people are saying, he doesn't just go by a rote formula. Glenn understands what people are comfortable with and, unlike many brokers, he does not step over those boundaries. In fact, our experience working with other agents was horrific so when we started working with Glenn, I thought "what a relief!" I felt saved. He is a breath of fresh air and he makes the process as stress-free as possible. When it came to the final bid on the apartment we wanted to buy, my husband asked Glenn what he thought it would take. Glenn told us that we might be able to get away with a certain offer, but that for $5,000 more dollars, he thought it was a done deal. He laid out his reasoning and explained why he thought what he thought. His logic made perfect sense. Still, he never pressured us to do anything that we were not comfortable with. Not only was he much more "user-friendly" than most brokers, but he really knew what he was doing. We consider Glenn to be our family broker: he's helped me, my brother and my parents. We've recommended Glenn to friends and everyone who has used him, loves him.
“Glenn's careful analysis of the market allowed me to glean information and make informed decisions based on that information. I was confident with every decision I made.”

I approached Glenn last year to help me sell my Upper East Side apartment. Because his area of expertise is downtown, he suggested that we hire another agent to show the apartment, and he offered to work with me in regards to pricing and strategy. I've talked to a lot of brokers, and I've found that many of them don't like being asked reasonable questions. Most of the agents I've worked with just wanted to tell me what my apartment should sell for without explaining their price, and that bothered me. Glenn was completely thorough in his explanations. He didn't just give me comp. information, but he explained what the charts meant, and he provided his own analysis of the market along with what the charts said. He allowed me to glean information from everything and subsequently make informed decisions based on that information. I was confident with every decision I made, and I attribute that to Glenn's hard work. I'd recommend Glenn to anyone looking to buy or sell in the downtown area, or even in the Upper East Side. I've been told that I'm a demanding customer and that I expect a lot. I never once had to ask Glenn for something twice, and when he gave me any information, it was both what I expected and what I needed. I don't think that happens as much as it should anymore, but Glenn is a definite exception to that decline.
“Glenn is the first broker I've worked with who has been honest and genuinely concerned with finding me the right home.”

Glenn was genuinely interested in finding a home that was suitable for my wife and myself. His main concern wasn't just making a sale, and in fact, he steered us away from a few properties during our search that he didn't think would hold enough long-term value for us. I think very few agents would do that, but Glenn wasn't the salesman type. Glenn was extremely pro-active, but he was never pushy regarding our purchase. I've worked with a number of brokers in the past, and Glenn was by far the most accommodating and most honest of all of them. He helped us find a home that we're still very happy with to this day, and because of that, I've recommended him to anyone I know who's been looking for an apartment, particularly downtown.
