We have been top brokers for high-end sales of co-ops, condominiums and townhouses for over twenty years. From our experience, we know that there is a strong emotional component to residential real estate that can't be quantified. That is why we sometimes feel like a psychiatrist trying to figure out our clients' desires. Clients think they want one thing, but in fact, they might be attracted to something else. By listening to what our clients have to say, and also what they don't say, we are able to help them pinpoint their goals.

 

Together, we have handled transactions in the luxury market for some of the biggest names in the United States and abroad. Many of our sales have set records for price per square foot. Our team was listed as one of the Top 200 Brokers in the United States by the Wall Street Journal for 2006 and 2007, landing in the top ten in 2007 and the top 20 in 2006. We have been interviewed by numerous publications including New York Magazine, The Real Deal, Architectural Digest, Quest, Avenue, Hamptons Magazine and Dan’s Papers.

 

Our success as a team is in large part attributable to the way in which we complement each other with a combination of skills and follow-through. No deal is too big or too small for us and thus each deal commands our full attention.

 

Prior to real estate, Deborah was a high school math and science teacher. She has taken many of the skills she developed as a teacher and utilized them in real estate sales. She is proud of her involvement in many philanthropic activities and she is on the board of The Rita Hayworth Gala for Alzheimer’s research.

 

Carol is a native New Yorker who is passionate about the city and all it has to offer. She has been involved in numerous philanthropic and social endeavors.

I had a wonderful experience working with Deborah. The whole purchase went very smoothly, largely due to Deborah's knowledge of her business and experience working with clients. After our first meeting, Deborah completely understood who I was and knew what properties to show me. She didn't waste my time, I didn't waste hers. She never showed me a property that was outside of my price range, and she was able to pinpoint what I really liked. I think Deborah was the consummate professional in the best sense of the term. I was hesitant about purchasing a pied-a-terre in the city, but Deborah was able to sufficiently inform me of what was involved in the process to answer my concerns. Deborah used my time very efficiently. She showed me approximately twenty apartments, and in those, I found one that was exactly what I wanted. I attribute this to the fact that Deborah listened very closely during our initial meetings. After we entered contract on the property, her team was superb - they prepared the necessary paperwork for closing, had an excellent follow-up, and made the whole deal go through with minimal pain. What really set Deborah apart for me was her intelligence and ethics. Neither of these ever faltered during our transaction together, and the whole experience was great.

Debby is spectacular. I was renting a townhouse, and the owner was forced to sell the property, so Debby helped me to find my first purchase in the city. She sat down with me and really listened to what I wanted. I was very specific, and Debby never took me to a place that didn't fit my criteria. She didn't waste my time, never took other calls while we were working together, and she was a very discrete businesswoman. She never gossiped about other clients or let her focus stray from the job I had hired her for. Debby never tried to push a sale on me by saying I was in a bidding war or that a particular property would get snatched up if I didn't take it. I've had experiences like that in the past, and I wasn't very happy about them. Instead, Debby let me have a relaxing, easy-going search, and I really appreciated that. She did everything she could to help make the experience more pleasant, including help with compiling my Board package. Lastly, Debby was always dressed nicely. I think it's important for a broker to look the part, to have an appropriate sense of style, and Debby definitely fits that category.
