I have been a real estate professional since 1997. My reputation precedes me as a broker who works extremely hard, is honest and has the best interests of my clients at heart. I take pride in the fact that over 90% of my business comes from referrals and repeat business from satisfied customers. I value my client relationships above all, and this is has been the foundation of my business. I am adept at listening, interpreting and assessing clients’ needs to establish our common goal and build the trust which is essential for a successful working relationship.


Over the years I have received many of Corcoran’s top honors, including Top Ten and a place among NRT’s top 2% nationwide, but my greatest satisfaction has always been a satisfied client. Hot properties, anxious sellers, determined buyers, negotiations, and contracts often can’t wait. My clients know that I am available 24/7 to answer questions and deal with issues as they come up. We work in partnership to make the process as stress-free as it can be and to ensure a successful outcome.


My pre-real estate experience combines ten years in advertising (at Ogilvy & Mather), Interior Design (Parson’s certified), and a variety of volunteer commitments, all of which taught me the marketing, communication, and negotiation skills that have been critical to my success in real estate. While I have sold all over the city, my expertise is the East Side. I have first-hand knowledge of neighborhoods from the 20’s to the 90’s, both as a broker and a resident. I’ve been a New Yorker for over 30 years, have raised my two daughters here and am well versed in schools, jobs, and the variety of resources that the City has to offer. My enthusiasm for New York is contagious.

Before buying a home through Dare, I had been living in housing owned by the school where I worked for 28 years. Dare helped me to make my first purchase, and within a month of working with her, I was settled in a one-bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side. Dare was exceedingly supportive throughout the process. My son wanted very much to participate in the process, which in some ways made the situation more difficult. Dare never lost her patience. She knew exactly what we needed to do to settle the apartment. She had great contacts; she knew lawyers we could be in touch with and how to finance the purchase. Dare helped me to sell my mother’s co-op apartment in August 2006. Dare emits an energy that makes you feel very confident -- and she delivers. She is very professional and very supportive. I worked with Dare to sell my Upper East Side co-op apartment. Dare is a professional all-around; she fits the most important criteria for a top real estate agent. She has a very strong understanding of the market, which is clearly in flux. Further, she was able to price my apartment properly without leaving any money on the table. When it came to showing the apartment, Dare definitely marketed the place well and created a lot of traffic. After finding a buyer, Dare worked very closely with the buyer’s agent to make sure the buyer was able to expeditiously get through the co-op board. Moreover, it is very easy to work with Dare because she is a warm and friendly person who understands her clients.

We had an outstanding experience working with Dare. She helped us to both buy and sell multiple homes. She was a professional throughout and a pleasure to work with. New York real estate is not a smooth or predictable industry, and Dare made a complex and sometimes stressful process very enjoyable. Her expertise was extremely helpful and she always puts her clients’ needs first. She is a very easy to talk to, has a great sense of humor, and treated us as personal friends. Dare is extremely patient. We must have looked at 30 different apartments with her, but she encouraged us to take our time and continue to look for exactly what we wanted. She didn’t push us into any home we weren’t interested in and she was always on the same page as us. On the selling end, Dare has sold three apartments for us. Two of the apartments had very tricky Boards, and she was able to expertly effectively market the home and find us qualified buyers. Dare knows how to maximize value and got us a terrific price above our asking price at the time. She has great negotiating skills and can be firm if necessary. Dare is phenomenal to work with. She helped us to buy a co-op apartment on the Upper East Side. Dare is extremely knowledgeable about market, has a good attitude, and always knew the answers to our questions. She was also very helpful in the negotiating and bidding process, and she always advised us in the right direction. We were looking for a sizable apartment, but we also had economic parameters to deal with. We spent the first month with Dare canvassing the market and getting a sense of what was available. When we found our current apartment, she helped us to bid quickly, as soon as it was available. Dare advised us to bid at a certain level to circumvent the sellers from continuing the process, and prepared us to jump when the apartment became available.

There is really nothing negative we could say about Dare. In an industry that has a notorious reputation, Dare really seems to be a gem. Dare helped us to buy our first home in Carnegie Hall. She understands her client on a professional and a personal level. She very quickly got a sense of what we were looking for, and did not drag us to see places that she knew we would not be interested in. Dare gave us an honest and candid assessment of our situation and the homes we were looking for, without ever being pushy. Dare made herself incredibly accessible and always responded very quickly.
