I sell primarily downtown, but being a native New Yorker, I am familiar with all neighborhoods and have sold all over Manhattan. I've sold over $250 million of Manhattan real estate -- everything from a charming studio to a sprawling 6,000 square foot loft.

Loft specialists »

Lofts offer a unique living experience. The creative aspect of a converted space that offers old-world, industrial and architectural aspects into residential living is one that I personally find appealing. I have represented numerous lofts in Tribeca, Soho, East, Central and West Village, Flatiron and Chelsea. Representing such homes and helping customers find suitable lofts comes naturally to me and is something that I look forward to doing.

Penthouse specialists »

A Penthouse offers the best of everything. They are set apart in style, views and details. In a city where people strive for excellence, representing penthouses offers the best features of a property and allows me to introduce these features to the some of the most discerning buyers in Manhattan.

New condos specialists »

Many buyers strive to have a top quality living experience, not only in their apartment, but in their building as well. New condo conversions and newly constructed condo buildings offer today's Manhattan owner and buyer the 21st Century experience -- one in which I am well versed, having helped many buyers find suitable home in new developments.

“As a first-time buyer in Manhattan, Alex made me feel comfortable with the process.”

Being a first-time buyer in, what was then, a red-hot Manhattan real estate market was a fairly intimidating process. Given the size of the investment relative to the short time spent looking made it easy to become overwhelmed by the entire buying process. Alex made me much more comfortable with the process. Alex took the time to explain to me the various aspects of the buying process (such as the differences between co-ops and condos) and potential red flags. Alex also did a great job of truly understanding what it was that I was looking for. He listened to me and after seeing the first few apartments, he was able to hone in on exactly what it was I wanted and the specific aspects of various apartments that appealed to me. Because he was able to do that, we didn't waste any time seeing apartments that didn't match what I wanted. Another aspect of the process that I really appreciated was that Alex never put any pressure on me to purchase an apartment. He was not your stereotypical "pushy" broker which made a tremendous difference to me. He also knew the downtown area extremely well. It was a very good experience working with Alex.
“An honest and straight-forward broker. Tells it like it is.”

Alex helped me sell my loft condo in Greenwich village. He was extremely professional and it was a pleasure working with him. A lot of brokers will tell you what you want to hear, even if it's not entirely accurate. Alex, on the other hand, is extremely straight-forward and honest. If Alex tells you that a buyer's offer is very good, then it is very good. If he tells you to wait, you should wait.
“Great listener. Really understood what we were looking for.”

Working with Alex is very easy because he does not play games. Instead, he is honest and upfront. Alex was not pushy and listened to what we wanted. I always felt like he was looking out for our best interests, not his. Alex's strength is really listening and understanding what his clients are looking for. He didn't waste our time showing us apartments that we wouldn't be interested in because he knew exactly what we wanted. That's how he was able to find the right home for us on two separate occasions. Also, his demeanor is very laid back, which I love. I absolutely would recommend Alex.

Alex is thoughtful and very knowledgeable about the downtown neighborhoods. He is extremely responsive in terms of answering any questions that we may have. He always does his research and homework to ensure that he is providing us with a credible answer. He'll look up the board minutes or regulations on the property to get us an accurate answer. I've definitely recommended Alex to multiple friends and family members over the past few years.
“Worked with Alex multiple times. Extremely patient broker.”

My husband and I have worked with Alex multiple times. Alex helped us buy and sell a loft-condo in the Meatpacking District, and a co-op on the Upper West Side. He is absolutely fantastic and is nothing but a pleasure. In terms of buying an apartment, Alex is not pushy at all and is extremely patient. That was particularly important because I did not know exactly what I wanted when we first started looking to buy. He was willing to show us as many apartments as we felt we needed to see. At both closings, we were complimented by the other party as to how organized and professional Alex was. As a seller, I would say that Alex's biggest strength is his ability to market and stage an apartment. When we sold our first home, we received roughly $200k more than the asking price. When we sold our co-op on the Upper West Side last August, the market was already beginning to sink and there were four units in my building that were on the market. Ours was the only one to sell. I have already recommended Alex over 10 times to friends.
“I trust Alex and his judgment. He made the selling process smooth.”

I find Alex to be very pleasant to work with. He is very accommodating and helpful. Most importantly, I trust Alex and his judgment. For example, I had another broker look at the apartment that I was selling and he suggested an extremely high selling price which I thought was out of line. When I told Alex the price at which the other broker thought that I should list the apartment at, he was appalled. Alex understood that if you overprice the apartment, you are doing yourself a major disservice. Alex showed my apartment in a single open house and we found our buyer there. As agonizing as selling a home in this market can be, Alex has made the process an easy one. Without question, I would recommend Alex and have already done so.
“Extremely professional, friendly and trustworthy agent.”

I would unconditionally recommend Alex. Alex was extremely professional, friendly and understanding. He worked diligently to help my husband and me sell our apartment in Soho and his advice regarding the pricing of our apartment was excellent. Alex's overall philosophy in terms of selling was terrific. One major aspect of his philosophy is to listen to his clients, and that's exactly what he did. Because I was both a buyer and seller, I was able to evaluate Alex on both ends of a transaction. I felt really good about working with Alex and I definitely trusted him. We had an excellent experience with Alex.
“Excellent marketer. Brought in the right types of buyers.”

I would say that my experience working with Alex to sell my apartment was great. He is very transparent and considerate. Alex was extremely thoughtful in assessing the marketplace and setting the right price for my apartment. He was also very flexible in making changes to our approach to selling the apartment when they were needed. Alex did an excellent job of presenting our apartment. He understood the apartment's assets and did an excellent job of highlighting these assets in his online marketing. He was always professional and detail-oriented. Alex was also smart enough to bring in the right types of potential buyers to see the apartment, but, thankfully, he was adaptable enough that he wasn't pigeonholing the types of buyers looking at the apartment. The buyer was not the type of buyer we had anticipated, but Alex still managed to find her because of his flexibility.

I have had multiple working relationships with Alex. He has helped me buy and sell as a landlord, a tenant and as the President of a Co-op board. Alex is a top-notch agent and better than I could have expected. One of Alex's main strengths is his honesty. He is upfront and he always delivered on his promises. Alex does not heighten the price in order to get a listing. Rather, he provides you with a realistic price that you can actually achieve. From my experiences working with Alex, we always achieved or came very close to achieving the price at which Alex thought we should market the property. That also indicates just how well Alex understands the market. I would unconditionally recommend Alex and I have already done so. He is responsible, responsive and he made the process easy for me.
